That cloudy, smoky stuff in the air that almost blotted out a view of the mountains Thursday, was dust from Kansas picked up by 75 mile an hour wind and brought eastward covering an area from West Virginia to Nor thern Florida, according to Ashe ville Citizen. . . . Plans are all,set for the Hunter Trials Saturday at Fancy Hill in the Hunting Country. Mrs. John Donald is chairman. Albert P. Hinckley of Orlean, Va., is the judge; George Webster is huntsman for the Working Hunt ers, and Ray Cochran, whipper-in. =^^se taking part in the event coming from Minnesota, Wis consin, Michigan, Maine, Virginia, Illinois as well as the two Caro linas. W. E. Kuhn of Indianapolis is president of the Riding & Hunt Club which sponsors the show, Mr. and Mrs. Kuhn live part of the year at their Tryon home, The Cotton .Patch where an establish ment for hunting horses and a lonely main house is maintained. The Kuhns have another home near Carmel, Ind., called “Folly Farms’’ where the breeding of thoroughbreds and fine cattle is more than a pastime.
